I had been auditioning for Cats last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in succession and had been trying not to let myself get too carried away with the idea of getting the part! What didn't help me at all on this front was that Paula, Leah, Bink, Mum, MJ and I had been to the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury to see the touring cast of Cats the day after my final audition! Talk about timing!
Anyway :) my agent had phoned to say that I had got the part! I will be playing Syllabub, also known as Jemima... Cue non-stop smiling, pacing, numbness and a big group hug with the parentals! Wow. I was going to be a Cat. On the Oasis of the Seas. In the Caribbean! And I sure as hell was now going to be late leaving to see Pharrell too... oops!
Needless to say, my Tuesday was a very exciting one and I was rather Happy all evening :)
